Commuting in cities can be very daunting.
Here are some tips on how to improve your cycling commute!
1. KEEP YOUR FOCUS
It might seem obvious but using your phones or headphones whilst cycling is a big no no. They detract you from the dangers which present themselves on the road.
2. BE AS VISIBLE AS POSSIBLE
You are not alone on the road, there are loads of distractions in the form of cars, road lights, etc… Ensuring your are visible and stand out to other road users will significantly improve your safety! If you have not reserved your RIDR Light to help you with it.

3. GET FAMILIAR WITH YOUR ROUTE
If it’s the first time you will commute to work, it is highly advised to try the route out in the weekend with less traffic. This will allow you to identify dangerous parts of your route and make you more comfortable when you doing in full morning or evening commute.
4. CHECK YOUR BIKE IS WORKING FINE
Ensuring your bike is working is one of the most if not the most important thing. Some basics you need to look out for are:
- Working brakes
- Ensure your tyres are fully inflated
- Well fitted helmet
- Working front and rear light (red) which are properly attached
